The Production Can
A place to find the material your team has already saved. Browse the shelf, check the source, and bring useful work into your next show.
Use material in a show
Go to Rundowns → Build Show → Production Can → Add/reorder. Choose material and position it in the show there.
Save new material to this shelf
In Assignments, choose Add New Assignment or Edit → Add to Can → save. This library does not create assignments.
On the shelf
Saved here does not mean ready to air. Can membership and labels organize material; they do not mark it finished or approved. Check the actual assignment status, script, and media before use.
What the labels mean
Evergreen
Material relevant beyond the current news cycle.
Banked assignments / segments
Work held for a future episode.
Buffer / Contingency
Options for a gap or a last-minute change.
Library / Stock footage
Reference material or footage for reuse.
